Actress Gi Eun-sae has candidly shared the painful setbacks she faced early in her career.

During the broadcast of Channel A's 'Best Friend Note - A Meal for Four' on the 22nd, Gi Eun-sae revealed the story behind her debut, detailing a string of unfortunate events.

She recalled filming a lead role in a movie in the Philippines for over a month, only to receive notification that her extensive scenes would be completely cut from the final product. "I went to the Philippines for a month and a half to film," she explained, "and after wrapping up, they told me my part, despite being substantial, would be entirely edited out."

Adding to her debut struggles, Gi Eun-sae shared that after a drama's premiere, her casting was subsequently changed. She also had to make a sudden exit from another ongoing drama due to her character being written out with a sudden study abroad plotline. "After the drama's premiere, the director was replaced, which led to the project being shelved and all casting decisions being redone," she recounted, eliciting sympathy from her friends.

"I felt like I had worked so much in my 20s but had almost nothing to show for it," Gi Eun-sae confessed. "I dreamed of being a star from a young age, but repeated frustrations led me to eventually give up on acting. It wasn't easy to let go, but it felt like a matter of pride."

She concluded with a positive outlook, stating, "When I was feeling disappointed, I didn't want to make myself unhappy, so I thought about what truly made me happy." She added, "It's a life I couldn't have imagined back then, and I realized there isn't just one way to live in this world."

Gi Eun-sae debuted in the 2006 sitcom 'Nonstop 5' and has since gained popularity not only as an actress but also as a fashion icon. She actively communicates with fans through her own YouTube channel. Recently, she has been expanding her career by showcasing her talent as an interior designer.
