Tears flowed among viewers as actor Bae Jeong-nam bid farewell to his beloved dog, Bell, who was like his only family. Now, news of his potential marriage is garnering widespread support.

The emotional final moments with Bell were aired on the October 19th episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Beauties' (My Ugly Duckling). Bell tragically passed away last month from a sudden cardiac arrest. The loss was immense for Bae Jeong-nam, especially as Bell had miraculously recovered over 1 year and 7 months after being diagnosed with paralysis due to an acute disc condition.

Bae Jeong-nam couldn't hold back his tears during Bell's final moments, saying, "Could you have lived just a little longer? Dad is sorry." At the crematorium, he cried out, "Oh no, what will happen to our baby, it's so hot..." holding Bell's ashes tightly and bidding a final farewell, "Rest now, don't be in pain anymore." For Bae Jeong-nam, who grew up alone from a young age, Bell was his family, his friend, and the reason for his life. He confessed, "After meeting Bell, I felt like I finally had a family for the first time," making the moment even more heartbreaking.

Amidst this sorrow, the October 16th episode of 'My Little Old Beauties' showed Bae Jeong-nam consulting with a fortune teller. The shaman predicted, "Marriage luck has entered. A person will enter your life soon." She cautioned, "Beware of horses and tigers, especially tiger signs born in '86, as they can hurt you." Bae Jeong-nam reacted, "That was a close call. It ended three years ago," hinting at a past relationship.

The shaman described Bae Jeong-nam's fate as "a man of many sorrows, with a past that has deep wounds," but also offered hope: "Starting next year, you will have a great decade of luck. Both business and finances will open up favorably." She specifically mentioned, "You've overcome near-death experiences multiple times in your childhood. Your destiny is one of helping others, earning you the label of a monk's fate." This accurately reflected his past, growing up apart from his parents under his grandmother's care and enduring difficult times alone.

The fortune teller even correctly identified that Bae Jeong-nam had performed a ritual for ancestors (Josang-gut) in the past. Bae Jeong-nam explained, "A close friend of mine became a shaman and offered to perform the first ritual for me. I felt a lot of guilt for not being able to attend memorial rites, but after the ritual, I felt at peace."

Earlier this year, Bae Jeong-nam mentioned in a broadcast, "If Bell gets healthy, I want to consider marriage." He also expressed his desire to build a normal family, stating, "My ideal type is a woman who wants to live in a Hanok house." When the shaman told him, "A good connection will come to you soon," viewers rallied with even warmer support.

Online comments poured in, such as, "I hope he meets a good person and starts a family now," "I hope he finally finds happiness after enduring such hard times," and "It seems spring is finally coming for Bae Jeong-nam too." Despite his deep grief after Bell's passing, Bae Jeong-nam is slowly recovering. Viewers are sincerely wishing for him to find a new connection and build a warm family.

Korean netizens offered words of comfort and encouragement. Comments included, "After losing Bell, I hope he finds a new companion who brings him joy and builds a happy family," and "He's been through so much; I'm rooting for his happiness and future marriage."
