Mnet's latest venture, 'Hip Hop Princess', has unveiled the profile photos of its 40 diverse contestants, poised to make waves in the K-Pop and J-Pop scene. This groundbreaking project aims to form a new global hip-hop girl group, allowing participants to showcase their unique talents not just in music and dance, but also in styling and video production.
The contestants, with an average age of 17, come from various backgrounds. The lineup includes individuals with previous audition show experience, debuted artists, university students from prestigious schools, national cheerleading champions, former student council presidents, and young songwriters. This rich mix of experiences fuels anticipation for discovering raw talent.
'Hip Hop Princess' serves as a cultural bridge, merging Korean and Japanese influences through the universal language of hip-hop. Renowned producers like Soyeon of i-dle, Gaeko, RIEHATA, and Iwata Takanori are onboard, amplifying the show's potential. The series premieres on October 16th at 9:50 PM KST on Mnet and will be simulcast in Japan via U-NEXT.
