Kim Byung-man Expresses Gratitude to Wife for Devotion Amidst Father's Memory Loss

Comedian Kim Byung-man emotionally shared his gratitude towards his wife for her unwavering dedication during his father's battle with illness and memory loss.

In the TV Chosun program 'Joseon's Lover' aired on the 20th, Kim Byung-man's personal life was spotlighted. His wife spoke about her close relationship with his parents, stating, "Even when Kim Byung-man was busy, I got along well with his mother. Because I love my husband, I naturally felt I had to treat his parents well." She then recalled the difficult times when Kim Byung-man's father was hospitalized.

Kim Byung-man revealed, "My father was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, and also had dementia. After surgery, he lost over half of his memories." His wife elaborated, "My mother-in-law was taking care of him, and I knew she must be tired. So, after finishing my work, I would go visit her, and we'd eat together outside to lift her spirits." She continued, "On my days off, I would visit and tell my father-in-law that Byung-man was there. I even played reruns of 'Gag Concert,' but he didn't recognize my husband when he saw him on TV."

Recounting a particularly frightening incident, Kim Byung-man's wife said, "My father-in-law suddenly disappeared from home. I turned on the broadcast, and called my mother-in-law. I searched frantically. I think he left to see Kim Byung-man."

Overwhelmed with emotion, Kim Byung-man expressed his deep appreciation for his wife's efforts, saying, "Thank you. 'Savior' is not enough to describe it."
