'S confessions: Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun's 10-year reunion sparks excitement!
'Confessions' star Jeon Do-yeon has spoken about her reunion with Kim Go-eun after 10 years.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, a press conference for the Netflix series 'Confessions' was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul. Lead actors Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Go-eun, Park Hae-soo, and director Lee Jung-hyo were in attendance.
'Confessions' is a mystery thriller that depicts the events that unfold between Yoon-soo (played by Jeon Do-yeon), who is accused of murdering her husband, and Eun-byul (played by Kim Go-eun), a mysterious figure known as a witch. This new work by director Lee Jung-hyo, who has shown impressive direction across various genres with titles like the Netflix series 'The Glamorous Temptation' and the drama 'Crash Landing on You,' is drawing attention as it marks the reunion of Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun after 10 years since the movie 'The Last Mistress.'
Jeon Do-yeon plays Ahn Yoon-soo, who accepts a dangerous deal to regain her daily life after suddenly being accused of her husband's murder. Kim Go-eun portrays Eun-byul, who is called a legendary witch and proposes a dangerous deal to Yoon-soo. Park Hae-soo plays prosecutor Baek Dong-hoon, who persistently tries to uncover the secrets intertwined between them. The secret transactions between the two women, made in exchange for confessions, where truth becomes lies and lies become truth, are the key points to watch.
Regarding her reunion with Kim Go-eun after 10 years, Jeon Do-yeon stated, "Although we met again after 10 years for this project, we met privately in between. So, the 10-year gap felt insignificant, and I was curious about our collaboration on this project."
She further elaborated, "When we did 'The Last Mistress,' Kim Go-eun was quite young. Honestly, I was young then too. This time, seeing Kim Go-eun, I wondered if my growth had stopped (laughs). Kim Go-eun had grown so much. I thought she was a little supportive during 'The Last Mistress,' but this time, I relied on Kim Go-eun, and she supported me a lot," explaining the change.
Meanwhile, 'Confessions' will be released on Netflix on the 5th, reaching over 190 countries.
Korean netizens are buzzing with excitement over the reunion of Jeon Do-yeon and Kim Go-eun. Many commented, "The chemistry between these two is going to be amazing!" and "Can't wait to see their transformation in this thriller."
