
Dex to Lead 'The Ghost House,' a Korean-Japanese Joint Film Based on Banana Yoshimoto Novel
Entertainer Dex, whose real name is Kim Jin Young, has been cast as the male lead in the upcoming Korean-Japanese co-production film 'The Ghost House.' This role marks a significant step following past discussions about his acting abilities.
The film, directed by Cho Chang Geun and produced by Movie House Joa, is a gourmet fantasy romance that explores the warmth of human connections through themes of life, death, loss, freedom, meeting, and parting. It is based on a short story by acclaimed Japanese author Banana Yoshimoto, known for works like 'Kitchen' and 'Lizard.'
Joining Dex are WJSN's leader Sojung (Choi Su Jeong), actress Park Hae Rin, and former Olympic skeleton medalist Yun Sung Bin, who is making his acting debut. The production is being handled by Movie House Joa, known for its quality films, with a planned release in South Korea and Japan in the latter half of next year.
Dex made his acting debut in the 2023 LGU+ drama 'Tarot.'
He is also known by his birth name, Kim Jin Young, and will portray the character 'Yoon Sung' in 'The Ghost House.'
