Lee Min-jung Reveals Story Behind Breakup with Lee Byung-hun: 'How Dare He?'

Actress Lee Min-jung has unveiled behind-the-scenes stories from her dating period with husband Lee Byung-hun on her YouTube channel.

Lee Min-jung shared, "I met Lee Byung-hun right before 'Boys Over Flowers' exploded in popularity." She recalled that when she had to spend over a year abroad, Lee Byung-hun suggested they break up, making her think, 'How dare he?', which she recounted with a laugh.

Reflecting on that time, Lee Min-jung honestly confessed, "I thought going abroad was just an excuse, and felt like he was breaking up because our love had faded." She admitted to ignoring his calls from overseas.

Later, at a film festival where she was receiving a newcomer award, she encountered Lee Byung-hun but pretended not to see him. Time passed, they met again, and eventually married in 2013.

Furthermore, Lee Min-jung addressed the 'gold spoon' rumors. She acknowledged, "It's true my grandfather and maternal uncle were award-winning artists and a KAIST professor, but our life wasn't always affluent. My father faced financial difficulties, which motivated me to start earning money."

She added, "We weren't a family that could spend extravagantly. My father's struggles became the greatest source of strength for me."
