Actor Kwon Oh-joong Joins Ice Bucket Challenge with Son Battling Rare Disease

Actor Kwon Oh-joong has spread positive influence by participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge alongside his son, who lives with a rare disease.

On the 10th, Kwon Oh-joong posted a video on his social media account, stating, "I accept the challenge for the 2025 Ice Bucket Challenge, nominated by actor Go Han-min."

In the video, Kwon Oh-joong and his son, Hyuk-joon, bravely took on the challenge. After being nominated by actor Go Han-min, Kwon Oh-joong explained his reason for participation and poured ice water over himself, expressing support for the construction of a nursing hospital for ALS patients.

His son, Hyuk-joon, went first, and Kwon Oh-joong followed suit, successfully completing the challenge together. Afterward, Kwon Oh-joong nominated singer-actor Yang Dong-geun and actor Jang Won-young to continue the chain of good deeds.

Kwon Oh-joong married in 1996 and has one son. His son is known to have a rare developmental disorder, affecting only 15 individuals worldwide and one in South Korea.
