The much-anticipated MBC University Song Festival is making a triumphant return after a 13-year hiatus. Titled '2025 MBC University Song Festival – Lighting Up Youth,' the event is set to take place on October 3rd at the National Korea Maritime & Ocean University in Busan, igniting fervent interest among university students nationwide since the recruitment phase began.

The show's hosting duties will be handled by a fresh trio: seasoned comedian Jang Do-yeon, rising actor Lee Jun-young, and former IZ*ONE member turned actress Kim Min-ju. Jang Do-yeon is expected to bring her signature wit and stable hosting skills, while Lee Jun-young will be making his MC debut. Kim Min-ju, known for her extensive tenure as an MC on 'Show! Music Core,' is anticipated to leverage her significant hosting experience, promising a dynamic and engaging on-stage chemistry.

The judging panel is comprised of legendary figures in the Korean music industry. Renowned producer Yoon Sang, singer-songwriter Lee Juck, renowned musical director Park Kal-lin, Daybreak's Lee Won-seok, powerful vocalist Lee Young-hyun, musician Yuk Joong-wan, and SG Wannabe's Kim Yong-jun will form a formidable 'dream team.' Jang Do-yeon debuted as a KBS comedian in 2006 and has since become a beloved figure for her witty remarks and unique persona.

Lee Jun-young, a former member of the idol group UNB, has established himself as a versatile actor, starring in dramas like 'The Interest of Love,' 'Taxi Driver,' and 'Mental Coach Jegal.'

Kim Min-ju transitioned to acting after her activities with IZ*ONE, appearing in dramas such as 'Hello, Me!' and 'The Forbidden Marriage,' and notably served as an MC for 'Show! Music Core' for an extended period.
