Comedian Jang Dong-min has once again showcased his innovative side as an environmental entrepreneur on a recent variety show appearance. During the broadcast of MBC's 'Home Alone' on the 11th, while touring a luxury villa, Jang Dong-min introduced his patented eco-friendly product, capturing the attention of fellow cast members.

He presented his unique vertical label, a departure from the commonly used horizontal ones, highlighting its ease of use and environmental benefits. Jang Dong-min revealed that this groundbreaking invention has already secured patent registrations in nine countries, impressing everyone with his global business acumen. He further elaborated on the intricate process of patent application and registration, noting the significant financial investment required for international patents.

Previously, Jang Dong-min gained recognition as an environmental entrepreneur after receiving a commendation at the Ministry of Environment's startup competition in 2023 for his pioneering vertical label design. He established a company named 'Pure Sky' and shared the philosophy behind his venture and the inspiration for the easy-peel bottle label patent. He explained that the idea stemmed from a personal incident during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he injured his hand while trying to remove a stubborn plastic bottle label.

Despite receiving numerous collaboration offers from major international corporations early in his business ventures, Jang Dong-min had initially prioritized launching his venture in South Korea to demonstrate the nation's commitment to environmental practices. However, his recent announcement of patent registrations in nine countries signals a strategic shift, as he now sets his sights on expanding his eco-friendly innovation into the global market.
