Broadcaster Seo Dong-ju has openly shared her challenging journey with in-vitro fertilization (IVF), revealing her emotional struggles.

In a recent YouTube video uploaded on the 11th, titled "Can I Get Pregnant in My 40s...? (+Pregnancy Prep Products, Tips Shared) Infertility Vlog · 8 Constitutions Test," Seo Dong-ju detailed her pursuit of overcoming infertility.

She candidly confessed her recent setback in the IVF process. "I'm feeling quite down right now. I received bad news a few days ago. They say it's called 'full embryo' when you culture for 5 days and it passes the PGT genetic test. You need to collect two for implantation, but I haven't even collected one. A few days ago, it made it to 5-day culturing, but it didn't pass the PGT genetic test. I cried a lot after hearing that news," she shared, her eyes welling up.

Seo Dong-ju was diagnosed with the 'Geumyang constitution' based on her test results. She explained, "Rice and namul suit me well, and I was told to strengthen my lower body more than my upper body." Her goal is clear: "To collect two embryos that pass the PGT test." She added, "It's expected to take about a year, which isn't easy considering my age. I'm also thinking of visiting the hospital that Lee Ji-hye recommended."

She also spoke about the physical and emotional toll of the IVF process. "I have severe mood swings due to the hormone injections. There are times I get angry at my husband, but I endure it, telling myself it's the hormones, not me." She described the physical pain, including bruising on her abdomen, yet managed a bittersweet smile, saying, "I'm learning so much through this process. I've become an expert, able to tell the follicle status just by looking at an ultrasound."

Concluding her message, Seo Dong-ju expressed her determination: "I plan to do my best until August next year. Regardless of the outcome, the effort itself is brilliant. If a child happens, it will be a miracle." She offered words of encouragement to others facing similar challenges: "I hope everyone on the same path stays strong until the end."
