Singer Huh Gong Denies Recent DUI Rumors, Cites Misreported Past Incident
Singer Huh Gong's agency has issued a strong clarification refuting recent reports that falsely claimed the artist had committed another drunk driving offense.
In a statement released on the 12th, his agency, In Your Star, explained that articles concerning a past DUI incident from 2023 were being recirculated, creating the misleading impression that the offense had occurred recently. "This is entirely untrue," the agency stated firmly.
The agency emphasized that while Huh Gong did have a DUI incident in 2023, he cooperated fully with the police investigation, promptly apologized, and reached a settlement with the victim at the time. "The claims that the accident was not handled properly are false," they added. The agency also highlighted that despite some media outlets quickly removing the erroneous reports, others have yet to correct the misinformation, causing financial damages through canceled event bookings.
Huh Gong is known as the twin brother of singer Huh Gak. He debuted in the music industry in 2011. Following a DUI incident in August 2023, he took a hiatus for approximately seven months. He is currently actively resuming his career.
