Kim Yuna Explains Why Yoo Jae-suk Wasn't Invited to Her Wedding on 'Chatting With Yoo'

Former figure skating champion Kim Yuna appeared on the YouTube show 'Chatting With Yoo' and explained the reasons behind not inviting Yoo Jae-suk to her wedding, sparking laughter.

In the episode released on the 13th, Kim Yuna sat down with Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, and Jo Se-ho for a candid conversation. Yoo Jae-suk expressed a sense of regret, stating he had watched Kim Yuna grow from her teenage years to her marriage, and would have gladly attended if invited.

Kim Yuna revealed that Shin Dong-yup officiated the ceremony. She shared her past experiences working with Shin Dong-yup on a variety show and mentioned her husband Ko Woo-rim's group Forestella also had a connection with him. While Ji Suk-jin agreed that Shin Dong-yup was a more fitting choice, Yoo Jae-suk humorously insisted their long-standing relationship made him a suitable candidate as well.

Kim Yuna confessed to having deliberations when sending out wedding invitations. She explained that her personal contact list is limited due to her professional circle, stating, "If either of us had the other's personal number, I would have (sent one)." Yoo Jae-suk good-naturedly requested to be invited to future family events.

Kim Yuna married Ko Woo-rim, a member of the vocal group Forestella, in October 2022 after a three-year relationship. Shin Dong-yup hosted the wedding ceremony, with Forestella performing a congratulatory song.

Kim Yuna is a legendary figure skater, widely known as the 'Queen of Figure Skating.' She achieved national and international fame, most notably winning gold at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
