South Korean television host Yoo Jae-suk is set to become a major Gangnam property owner, with a new building currently under construction in the affluent Nonhyeon-dong district. The property, located directly across from his agency Antenna's headquarters, will feature three basement levels and four above-ground floors.

Reports indicate that Yoo Jae-suk purchased the two adjacent plots of land for a total of 19.8 billion KRW (approximately $14.5 million USD) in June 2023, paying entirely in cash. The site, previously occupied by a 20-year-old multi-family dwelling, is now undergoing rapid construction and is slated for completion by February 2026. The new structure is registered as a commercial facility, boasting a substantial total floor area of approximately 1653.55 square meters (about 500 pyeong).

While a significant portion of the construction costs was financed through a 7.7 billion KRW loan secured against the land, Yoo Jae-suk has also registered a business under the name 'JS607' for property dealings. Industry experts speculate the building will either serve as his agency's new headquarters or be utilized for rental income. This move marks a notable shift for the beloved entertainer, who previously resided in rented properties for many years, even while at the peak of his career.

Yoo Jae-suk, often dubbed the 'Nation's MC', debuted as a comedian in 1991 and has since hosted numerous hit variety shows.

He is widely admired for his quick wit, humor, and strong sense of empathy, earning him a dedicated fanbase across generations.

Currently, he continues to captivate audiences with his presence on popular programs such as 'You Quiz on the Block' and 'What Do You Do When You Play?'.
