BTOB's Lee Chang-sub Reveals Unwavering Fanboy Love for GFRIEND's Umji: "She Was My Favorite"

BTOB member Lee Chang-sub has garnered attention for openly expressing his significant fan admiration for Umji, a former member of the girl group GFRIEND.

In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'TEO' on the 13th, as part of the show 'Salon de K-dol', Sowon (formerly of GFRIEND), SinB, and Umji appeared as guests.

During the broadcast, MC Key remarked on Chang-sub's past as an avid fan of GFRIEND. Chang-sub readily agreed, stating, "It wasn't just words, I genuinely liked them." Key added, "It was well-known in the industry," and Umji expressed gratitude, saying, "Sunbae Chang-sub even made videos compiling just our songs."

Chang-sub explained his fondness for GFRIEND's music and group atmosphere, particularly highlighting his admiration for Umji. He described their music as "refreshing, like a Fanta," and praised Umji's image for fitting the group's concept perfectly.

When SinB revealed, "He mentioned wanting to go on a trip abroad with Umji on a past program," Lee Chang-sub emphasized, "Honestly, I really wanted to go with Umji-ssi. At that time, she was my favorite member among GFRIEND." He confessed his past fanboy feelings.

SinB recalled how the GFRIEND members used to talk about it, mimicking Umji's youthful reactions. As Key chimed in with a joke, Chang-sub humorously added, "What can I do, why would I go on a trip with this old person~?" eliciting laughter.

Chang-sub also shared that when asked who his favorite GFRIEND member was, he always answered Umji.
