Park Bo-gum to Return with New tvN Variety Show as a Barber

Actor Park Bo-gum is set to meet viewers with a new variety program on tvN.

On the 16th, a tvN representative informed OSEN, “We are in the process of planning a new variety show with Park Bo-gum, and it is scheduled for broadcast on tvN.” Details regarding the program's specific content and format are still undecided.

Earlier reports suggested that Park Bo-gum would be taking on the role of a ‘barber’ in this upcoming variety show. According to these reports, the program will feature him opening a rural hair salon for the elderly and engaging with them. It is known that he has been preparing for additional cosmetology-related certifications, building upon the license he obtained during his military service.

Park Bo-gum enlisted in the Naval Military Band and Honor Guard in 2020, where he acquired the national technical qualification ‘Barbering Technician’. He served as a barber during his service, and fellow member Ahn Tae-gyu had previously mentioned that Park Bo-gum personally cut his hair.

Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum has been active this year in various projects, including the Netflix series 'When My Star Shines', the JTBC drama 'Good Boy', and KBS2's 'The Seasons – Park Bo-gum's Cantabile'.

Park Bo-gum starred alongside IU in 'When My Star Shines' in 2023, heightening anticipation for his subsequent projects. Beyond acting, he has showcased musical talent, displaying a different charm as both MC and musician in 'The Seasons – Park Bo-gum's Cantabile'.
