SM Entertainment (SM) and production company Egg Is Coming are set to launch 'Respond 1988 High School,' the first solo reality program for SM's male trainee team, 'SMTR25.'

This time-slip growth entertainment show will feature a total of 15 trainees, including some from SMTR25 (Nicholas, Kasso, Justin, Hyun Joon, Woojin, Hanbin, Songha, Kachine, Sadaharu, Tata, Daniel, Haruta, Hamin, Charlie, Jaewon). They will enroll in a school to find the answer to their debut, assigned to classes themed around the 90s, 00s, and 10s, experiencing the emotions and cultures of each era as they strive for their future dreams.

SMTR25, a multinational male trainee team under SM, was first unveiled in January during the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert with a special performance commemorating SM's 30th anniversary. They have since performed on 'SMTOWN LIVE' stages worldwide and were introduced as next-generation artists in the SBS special program 'K-POP The Beginning: SMTOWN 30,' garnering significant attention.

The program boasts high production quality with Shin Hyo-jung PD and Kim Dae-ju writer, the key creative team behind tvN's 'Nana's Farm Stay' and 'Nana Tour.' It is scheduled to air on global platforms in the first half of 2026.

SMTR25 aims to be the next generation of global artists leading K-pop's future. The trainees, with their diverse nationalities and charms, have already garnered significant anticipation from fans even before their debut. The group's name and concept are yet to be officially revealed, and this reality show is expected to showcase their hidden sides and growth process.
