'I Am Solo' Season 28's Young-soo Clinches '3-Vote Sweep' on First Date, Young-sik & Kyung-soo Get '0 Votes'
On the latest episode of ENA and SBS Plus's dating reality show 'I Am Solo' (나는 SOLO), contestant Young-soo from the 28th season emerged as the '3-vote sweep' winner during the initial date selection, showcasing his significant appeal.
The broadcast on the 17th featured the 'solo' women of the 28th season, dubbed the 'divorced singles special,' revealing their backgrounds after the 'introduction time' and proceeding to the 'first date' selection.
Young-soo secured dates with Young-sook, Young-ja, and Jung-sook, leading to a 3:1 date scenario. In contrast, Young-sik and Kyung-soo were left with 'zero votes,' facing the solitary 'lonely meal' with disappointment.
During their self-introductions, the solo women shared their stories and aspirations. Young-sook, a nurse born in '86, revealed she is raising two children and sang IU's 'Drama,' moving the room to tears. Jung-sook, an accountant born in '88, expressed her ideal partner earns at least 10 won more than her and is kind and responsible. Soon-ja, a math academy instructor from '87, is a mother to a 6-year-old son and seeks a 'jovial man' who can handle her playful antics. Young-ja, the director of a piano academy from '83, impressed with her 'three jobs' including an online shopping mall and baking shop.
Ok-soon, a team leader instructor born in '91, spoke tearfully about raising her 7-year-old daughter, emphasizing her daughter as her top priority. Hyun-sook, a florist born in '88, highlighted her nurturing of three children and her side hustle in real estate auctions, describing herself as having a 'cat-like charm' when with a partner. Jung-hee, a dentist born in '85, brought the house down with her dance performance to Rosé's 'On the Ground.'
Following the introductions, the first date selections took place. Young-soo garnered the most attention by being chosen by three women. Young-ho was selected by Ok-soon, whom he had a serious conversation with earlier. Young-sik, like in the initial impression, received zero votes again, leading to his second 'lonely meal.' Young-cheol was chosen by Soon-ja, who wanted to understand his situation regarding seeing his child. Kwang-soo was picked by Jung-hee, and Sang-cheol by Hyun-sook. Kyung-soo, facing his second consecutive 'lonely meal' after the initial impression, expressed his dejection.
The first dates commenced with Sang-cheol and Hyun-sook enjoying a one-on-one. Hyun-sook confessed her feelings, while Sang-cheol, though showing interest, admitted to having complex thoughts about dating someone with a child. Young-soo adopted a 'fair dating policy' with Young-sook, Young-ja, and Jung-sook, stating he is open to older or younger partners and doesn't mind if they have children. Jung-sook found his equitable treatment uninteresting, causing her interest to drop significantly. The preview teased Young-soo flirting with multiple women and Hyun-sook making a bold move towards Young-soo in front of Sang-cheol, heightening anticipation for the next episode.
Young-soo expressed an open mind, stating he is open to dating both older and younger partners and is unconcerned about whether they have children. During their date, Young-sook admitted she couldn't read Young-soo's true feelings and was contemplating her next move. His 'fair dating policy' approach did not resonate positively with all the participants.
