Jung Woo-sung Appears at Official Event After a Year, Smiling Brightly Post-Controversy

Actor Jung Woo-sung made his first official appearance in a year since personal controversies, sharing an update on his life.

Attending the 34th Buil Film Awards Hand-Printing Ceremony held at Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan, on the afternoon of the 18th, Jung Woo-sung stood before the press with a bright smile as last year's Best Actor awardee.

His appearance garnered significant attention as it was his first official event following the extramarital child controversy last year and the announcement of his marriage registration with a long-term partner.

Stepping onto the stage, Jung Woo-sung shared his thoughts calmly, remarking, "The Busan International Film Festival and Buil Film Awards are always enjoyable events to be a part of." He also lightened the mood with a jest, saying, "The only regret is that I don't have a project to participate in this year."

He expressed anticipation for his upcoming project, hinting, "I will greet you all with a new work soon."

Appearing before the public after a long hiatus, Jung Woo-sung maintained a relaxed smile amidst the many gazes, once again showcasing his presence as the actor Jung Woo-sung.

Jung Woo-sung debuted in the 1994 film 'The Fox with Nine Tails' and later won the Best Actor award at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his role in the 2019 movie 'Innocent Witness'. Beyond his acting career, he actively engages in social contributions as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
