Seo Dong-ju Opens Up About Infertility Treatment Pain: 'Disappointment Hurts More Than Injections'

Lawyer and TV personality Seo Dong-ju has candidly shared the emotional and physical toll of her fertility treatment journey.

In a recent video uploaded to her YouTube channel, 'Seo Dong-ju's Ddo.Do.Dong', she detailed the struggles she is experiencing following an egg retrieval procedure.

"While the injections themselves are bearable, moments of disappointment or despair are what hurt more," Seo Dong-ju confessed. She admitted to significant anxiety due to past experiences where her follicles didn't develop well, sometimes resulting in very few or no eggs retrieved.

Fortunately, two eggs were retrieved this time. However, she expressed that the journey remains difficult as the retrieval is not the end of the process. "I am enduring this challenging period by cherishing it as a precious time," she added.

Seo Dong-ju, daughter of Seo Se-won, was previously married in 2010 and divorced in 2018. She later earned her law degree from the University of San Francisco and now works as an overseas partner attorney at a major South Korean law firm. She recently remarried in June to a man four years her junior who works in the entertainment industry.
