Kim Yong-man Expresses Disappointment with KBS, Recounts 'Attach and Detach' Photo Episodes

Broadcaster Kim Yong-man has candidly shared his feelings of disappointment towards KBS.

In a video recently uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Jong-ari’, Kim Yong-man began by mentioning guests Kim Dae-hee and Kim Won-hyo, saying, "My wife looked at the list and asked if it was a KBS gathering."

Kim Soo-yong and Ji Suk-jin then humorously revealed that Kim Yong-man had lost his standing at KBS, adding to the laughter. Kim Won-hyo further entertained the audience by stating that Kim Yong-man's photo in the comedians' room was subject to being 'attached and detached'.

Kim Yong-man noted, "I worked at KBS for two years before moving to MBC and working there for over ten years." He then disclosed an anecdote where he was encouraged to participate in a KBS sports day, implying it was a way to solicit sponsorship. He recounted his frustration, "When I asked if my photo had been removed, they'd say 'What are you talking about!' and then if I sent money, someone would say it was 'attached'. Then someone would come and say, 'Why did you attach this? Take it down.' This happened repeatedly every year for the sports day."

Kim Yong-man also added a poignant memory of his early days at MBC, where he and fellow comedian Kook Jin had to wait in the restroom due to a lack of designated space, drawing sympathy from viewers.

Kim Yong-man debuted as a KBS special recruit comedian in 1995. He later moved to MBC in the early 2000s and gained immense popularity through various entertainment shows, including hosting 'National Singing Contest'. He is currently actively working as an MC and cast member on numerous variety programs such as 'Wounded Footballers' and 'Problem Child in House'.
