
Korea Drama Awards Voting Concludes, Winners to Be Announced Soon; Ceremony Set for October 11
The voting for the '16th Korea Drama Awards' has officially wrapped up, with anticipation building for the announcement of the winners. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 11.
The Korea Drama Festival Organizing Committee announced the closure of the fan voting period, which was conducted through the fandom apps 'Celeb Champ' and 'My One Pick' until the 22nd. This year's awards feature intense competition across 6 popular vote categories, including Hot Star Award (Male/Female), Popular Couple Award, Multitainer Award, Global Star Award, and BEST OST Award, alongside 7 main awards such as Best Drama, Best New Actor/Actress, Excellence Award (Male/Female), and Grand Prize (Male/Female).
Notable nominees for the Grand Prize include actors Park Bo-gum, Ahn Jae-wook, Yoo Yeon-seok, Kang Ha-neul, and actresses Lee Ji-eun (IU), Park Bo-young, Lee Se-young, and Chae Soo-bin. In the Popular Couple Award category, five couples, including Lee Hye-ri & Jeong Su-bin, Yoo Yeon-seok & Chae Soo-bin, and Jung Hae-in & Jung So-min, garnered significant fan support.
The '16th Korea Drama Awards' ceremony will be held at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do, on October 11 at 5 PM. The event aims to celebrate the achievements of 92 domestic dramas and commemorate the advancement of K-drama.
