Ha Seok-jin Unveils His Grand Family Home, Reminiscent of 'Parasite'

Actor Ha Seok-jin has offered fans a rare glimpse into his mother's impressive residence in Seocho-dong, sparking considerable interest.

The reveal came in a YouTube video uploaded on the 5th, titled 'First Look at Seok-jin's Mom's Home with a Lush Garden.' Ha Seok-jin explained that the spacious house was a place he briefly lived in before moving out and is currently occupied by his mother.

He humorously recalled a time when viewers mistakenly thought his mother was a 'mother-in-law,' adding to the lighthearted atmosphere of the video. The actor also shared an anecdote about an unexpected five-to-six-month cohabitation with his mother due to extensive repairs after a water pipe burst.

The sprawling mansion showcased a sophisticated, classic interior design that captivated viewers. Pointing to a basement passage, Ha Seok-jin remarked on its resemblance to a space seen in the film 'Parasite.' He also mentioned his personal favorite absinthe, noting its high alcohol content, and his mother's preference for wine.

Surrounded by vintage audio equipment and classical music CDs in the living room, Ha Seok-jin reminisced about his childhood Sundays. "Sundays were always accompanied by classical music from composers like Beethoven and Brahms. Even now, listening to classical music reminds me of Sunday mornings with toast," he shared.

Various other notable items were visible throughout the house, including a fireplace, a "potty training statue," and a painting by Namneung Heo Geon, which even impressed the production crew with their potential value.
