Actress Nam Bo-ra Shares Heartbreaking News About Her Dog's Illness
Actress Nam Bo-ra has shared a difficult update regarding the health of her beloved pet dog, "Meoteoli."
On the 6th, Nam Bo-ra took to her social media to reveal that her dog, Meoteoli, is currently battling an illness. She expressed her sorrow, stating, "Today, I have some heavy news. Meoteoli is sick."
She explained that until just a few days ago, she believed Meoteoli was healthy. "From the time I brought him home, he would run with one of his hind legs lifted," she wrote. After visiting various veterinary clinics and finding no significant issues, she had dismissed it as a habit. However, during a recent check-up for another dog she is fostering, Meoteoli also underwent an examination.
The veterinarian recommended an MRI, suspecting a possible neurological issue. The results were devastating: Meoteoli was diagnosed with "syringomyelia," a condition commonly seen in smaller dogs, where fluid accumulates in the spinal cord and presses on nerves. This explained his unusual gait and his tendency to startle easily.
Nam Bo-ra confessed her deep regret and guilt, saying, "I thought he was just sensitive, but now I can't stop crying thinking that I should have had him tested sooner." She added, "The vet said it can be managed with lifelong medication, but seeing my little Meoteoli suffering makes me feel so sorry and I can only shed tears." While acknowledging that many dogs with this condition live well with proper medication, she couldn't help but feel immense sadness for her ailing pet. She concluded by asking for prayers for Meoteoli's miraculous recovery and good health.
Nam Bo-ra debuted in the 2004 MBC sitcom 'Nonstop 5'.
She has actively participated in numerous dramas and films throughout her career.
In May, she tied the knot with a businessman of the same age, receiving widespread congratulations.
