Pioneer YouTuber Daedoseogwan Passes Away Suddenly at 46; Ex-Wife Yum-Deng Appointed as Chief Mourner

A somber cloud hangs over the K-entertainment scene as Daedoseogwan (real name Na Dong-hyun), a prominent first-generation internet broadcaster, has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 46.

He was found deceased in his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 6th. While the exact cause of death remains unconfirmed, authorities reported no signs of suicide notes or foul play at the scene, adding to the tragedy.

Adding to the poignant situation, his ex-wife and fellow creator, Yum-Deng, has been named as the chief mourner. The couple, who married in 2015, amicably divorced in 2023, with Daedoseogwan having previously embraced Yum-Deng's son from a previous marriage as his own.

Daedoseogwan, who boasted 1.44 million subscribers on YouTube, was a significant figure in the early days of online content creation. His wake is being held at Konkuk University Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 205, with the funeral procession scheduled for the morning of the 9th.

Daedoseogwan made his broadcasting debut in 2002 as a 'SayClub Music Jacky'. He subsequently expanded his presence across platforms like Daum TV팟 and AfreecaTV before settling on YouTube in 2016. His channel garnered over 1.44 million subscribers, solidifying his status as a beloved creator.
