Ok Joo-hyun to Guest on 'Celeb Secret History' to Unveil Marie Curie's Life Story

Musical actress Ok Joo-hyun is set to appear as a special guest on KBS 2TV's 'Celeb Secret History,' delving into the life of the renowned scientist Marie Curie.

Following her captivating portrayal of Mata Hari in a previous episode, Ok Joo-hyun will reunite with the show's MCs. MC Lee Chan-won warmly welcomed her, acknowledging her significant contribution to the show's regular programming.

Ok Joo-hyun, currently starring as the lead in the musical 'Marie Curie,' playfully remarked, "It seems I'm taking on another 'Ma' character after Mata Hari." She further heightened anticipation by promising musical tickets to the quiz winners.

Joining Ok Joo-hyun as a special guest is Professor Park Eun-jung, a world-renowned toxicologist, who is introduced as someone who walked a similar path to Marie Curie. Professor Park is slated to serve as the quiz judge.

This episode of 'Celeb Secret History' will explore the extraordinary journey of Marie Skłodowska Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields. The program will cover her life from being a poor Polish student in France to her burial in the Panthéon, her relationship with Pierre Curie, the discovery of radium, and ultimately her death. Intriguingly, the episode hints at a surprising revelation regarding the connection between the Curies' deaths and their lifelong work with radium, despite Professor Park's observation that radium was not detected in her bones.

'Celeb Secret History,' which uncovers the secret lives and struggles of historical celebrities, will broadcast the Marie Curie episode on KBS 2TV at 8:30 PM today (the 9th) and will also be available on Wavve.
