Mnet's brand-new Korean-Japanese collaboration project to create a hip-hop girl group, 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Hop Princess,' has finally lifted the veil. On the 9th, the production team released profile photos of the 40 contestants, who possess unique personalities and skills, generating significant buzz.

The full roster of contestants, who previously captivated audiences with their diverse musical spectrum spanning K-pop and J-pop, along with their vibrant energy in the official trailer, has now been revealed through these profile images. The participants, averaging 17 years of age, hail from both Korea and Japan and are showcasing their individual charms and distinct styles even in their photos.

This season's lineup boasts a remarkable array of participants beyond just those with prior audition or debut experience. It includes students from prestigious universities, winners of national cheerleading competitions, former student body presidents, and teenage girls with extensive original song portfolios. This diverse background promises the discovery of raw, untapped talent.

'Hip Hop Princess' is a survival program where contestants actively participate in all aspects, including music, choreography, styling, and video production, to craft their unique identities. The show aims to depict the fusion of Korean and Japanese cultures through hip-hop, fostering the creation of new cultural trends and nurturing the participants into distinctive artists. The involvement of top-tier producers like Soyeon of (G)I-DLE, Gaeko, Rhtta, and Taknori Iwata further amplifies the anticipation.

Bringing together contestants across language, culture, and generations with the common goal of hip-hop, 'Hip Hop Princess' will premiere on Mnet on Thursday, October 16th at 9:50 PM KST and will be simulcast in Japan via U-NEXT.

MC Ding Dong is set to host 'Hip Hop Princess,' guiding the program with his signature humor and witty hosting skills, expected to bring enjoyment to both participants and viewers. His extensive experience across various broadcasting programs will undoubtedly enhance the show's entertainment value.
