Lee Min-jung Reveals Shocking College Entrance Exam Blunder and Resilient Comeback Story

Actress Lee Min-jung has captivated audiences by sharing an untold chapter of her past on her YouTube channel, 'Lee Min-jung MJ'.

In a video released on the 9th, Lee Min-jung candidly recounted the devastating mistake of misfilling her OMR sheet during her first college entrance exam, which led her to repeat a year. "I wrote down all the answers one space down on the English OMR card. I thought I got 362 points after grading, but the actual score was 338," she confessed, adding that the shock caused her to break out in hives and lock herself in her room, crying for 10 hours.

Lee Min-jung described her subsequent year of re-studying as the most intensely focused period of her life. Following her father's advice to pursue literature if she wanted to study directing, she majored in Korean Literature. She achieved a remarkable score close to 380 out of 400 on the relatively easy 2001 college entrance exam, earning admission to Sungkyunkwan University. Despite her initial plan to "just have fun" during her first year, she demonstrated remarkable independence by funding her tuition and living expenses through various part-time jobs.

Lee Min-jung enrolled in Sungkyunkwan University's Korean Literature department in 2001, later transferring to the Theatre and Film department to pursue directing studies.

During her university years, she independently managed her tuition and living costs through part-time jobs like working at a cafe, never relying on her parents for financial support.

These formative experiences have significantly contributed to her depth and resilience as an actress.
