'Solo Dating' Oksoon Denies School Violence Rumors, Vows Legal Action
Oksoon, a contestant from the 28th season of the popular reality show 'Solo Dating' (also known as 'I Am Solo'), has strongly refuted allegations of school violence, announcing her intent to take legal action.
Her legal representatives, Roel Law Firm, issued a statement on the 10th, firmly stating that all accusations of school bullying, being part of a 'uljjang' (school bully) clique, and forced transfer are false. These rumors had been circulating on various online communities.
While a post alleging Oksoon's involvement in bullying and a subsequent forced transfer in middle school gained traction, it has since been removed. Oksoon's legal team clarified that she never engaged in or was disciplined for school violence. They explained that the transfer mentioned was a standard procedure due to a change in residence, not a punitive measure.
Furthermore, the statement highlighted Oksoon's diligent academic record, including studying late into the night and her admission to university through a regular admissions process after attending a foreign language high school. Her representatives emphasized that she never bullied anyone throughout her school years.
Initially refraining from comment to avoid escalating the controversy and potentially harming the show or her colleagues, Oksoon has now decided to pursue legal recourse against the original poster due to the severe distress and professional disruption caused to herself and those around her. They sternly warned that any further dissemination or amplification of unverified rumors would result in the strictest possible civil and criminal legal actions.
Oksoon is currently gaining attention as a participant in the 'DCSIN' (Divorced Singles) special episode of the hit SBS Plus and ENA reality show 'Solo Dating'.
Following her appearance on the show, she garnered significant attention for her resemblance to actress Han So-hee.
She is known to be an alumna of Yonsei University, where she majled in Systems Biology.
