Lee Hyori Touched by Unexpected Gift: 'Reminds Me of My Teacher'

Singer Lee Hyori shared her deep emotional reaction to a surprisingly thoughtful gift.

On the 12th, Lee Hyori posted on her social media, reminiscing, "There were days I'd forget my hair tie for practice, and my teacher would always have one prepared somewhere to give me. If even that wasn't available, she'd take one from her own hair..."

She further added, "Seeing the heartfelt gift I received yesterday morning reminds me of my teacher. Shanti today," along with a photo. The image featured three containers filled with simple black hair ties. While easily found in stores, these hair ties held special meaning for Lee Hyori, evoking cherished memories as she now teaches yoga.

Lee Hyori is currently operating and teaching at her own yoga studio in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul. Although she had previously received congratulatory gifts like large potted plants from close friends such as Yoo Jae-suk and Seo Jang-hoon upon opening her studio, she had politely declined all subsequent offers of gifts or sponsorships. However, this particular present, imbued with precious memories, brought her to tears.

Previously, Lee Hyori was married to singer Lee Sang-soon and lived in Jeju Island, but she recently relocated to Seoul and has been actively engaged in various activities.

Lee Hyori debuted as a solo artist in 2003 and quickly became a top female star in South Korea with hits like '10 Minutes' and 'U Go Girl'. After marrying singer Lee Sang-soon in 2013, she balanced her life between rural living in Jeju Island and active entertainment careers.
