YouTuber Jeon Han-gil Claims Channel Monetization Suspended, Alleges 'Leftist Conspiracy'

Jeon Han-gil, a former Korean history instructor now running a conservative YouTube channel, has announced that his channel has been suspended from monetization. Speaking at the 'Truth Forum' in Washington D.C. on the 13th (local time), Jeon stated, "My channel, which I operate and manage, received a monetization suspension yesterday. They claim it's due to sensitive issues, but I have always reported honestly, adhering to the principle of 'never lying in dreams,' as advocated by Dosan Ahn Chang-ho."

Jeon suggested that criticizing Lee Jae-myung might be the sensitive issue, saying, "Perhaps criticizing what is wrong with Lee Jae-myung and criticizing him is considered a sensitive issue." He then addressed President Trump and Google's headquarters, asking, "President Trump, are you watching? Are leftists dominating Google Korea and oppressing conservative YouTubers?"

YouTube typically prohibits monetization for content violating policies on child safety, violent or sexually suggestive thumbnails, and explicit sexual content. Jeon's channel is presumed to have been penalized for 'sensitive content creation violations.' However, Jeon noted that his ability to earn revenue is not entirely blocked, as he solicits 'voluntary subscriptions' via his bank account details posted on the channel.

Jeon also revealed his decision to travel to the United States, expressing concerns about potential travel bans or arrest in South Korea. He mentioned purchasing a bulletproof vest due to security worries while attending the event. He also paid tribute to Charlie Kirk, a young American conservative activist and his personal role model, expressing deep sorrow over Kirk's assassination.

Jeon gained fame as a Korean history teacher but later drew public criticism for revealing extreme right-wing political views, notably through his opposition to the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol. He has since been operating conservative YouTube channels and personal media platforms.
