Sung Si-kyung's one-person agency, SK Jae-won, is reportedly facing controversy for operating without registering as a popular culture arts planning business.

According to industry sources, the agency, established in February 2011, has not completed the necessary registration process required by law. The CEO of SK Jae-won is reportedly Sung Si-kyung's older sister, and the singer has been under this agency since his contract with Jellyfish Entertainment expired in 2018.

The Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act mandates that entertainers operating as corporations or sole proprietorships exceeding one person must register as a popular culture arts planning business. Failure to comply can result in penalties including imprisonment of up to two years or fines up to 20 million KRW.

Sung Si-kyung's agency has stated that they are currently organizing their official stance on the matter. This situation follows a similar controversy involving singer Ok Ju-hyun, whose agencies were also found to be unregistered.

Sung Si-kyung, a renowned vocalist, debuted in 1999 and has since garnered immense popularity with his soulful ballads. He is known for hit songs such as 'It's Dangerous,' 'On the Street,' and 'Every Moment of You.' Beyond his music career, Sung Si-kyung actively engages with fans through his popular mukbang YouTube channel, 'Eating Well.'
