Former national rhythmic gymnast Shin Soo-ji is set to become a new ambassador for Korean sports.

The Korean Sports Promotion Committee officially appointed Shin Soo-ji as a member of its Public Relations and Media Committee during its first meeting held on the 16th at the Olympic Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul. She was also elected as a vice-chairperson, expanding her role.

Shin Soo-ji expressed her gratitude on her social media, stating, "I am truly thankful for my appointment as a member of the Korean Sports Promotion Committee's Public Relations and Media Committee. I will work diligently to promote the development of Korean sports."

The Public Relations and Media Committee plays a crucial role in advising on promotional strategies for the committee's events, domestic and international multi-sport games, and the advancement of grassroots sports.

In addition to her new committee role, Shin Soo-ji is also preparing for her appearance on Channel A's sports entertainment show 'Queen of Baseball,' scheduled to premiere this November. Her combined efforts in her committee duties and broadcast activities are expected to further elevate the profile of Korean sports.

Shin Soo-ji was selected for the national rhythmic gymnastics team in 2006 and won a bronze medal in the individual all-around at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. After retiring, she actively pursued a career as a broadcaster, showcasing her charm on various entertainment shows. She also dedicates herself to nurturing young talent by mentoring and hosting training sessions for aspiring rhythmic gymnasts.
