Sunye, formerly of the K-pop girl group Wonder Girls, has shared glimpses of her peaceful daily life with fans.

Recently, Sunye posted photos of a home-cooked meal she prepared on her social media stories. The spread included hearty dishes like kimchi jjigae brimming with bean sprouts and kimchi, her go-to dish of pork back ribs, and cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste stew) enriched with tofu and beef, showcasing her generous cooking style.

This serene update comes shortly after she faced intense online backlash for a tribute post to the late Charlie Kirk. Sunye had previously defended her actions, stating she posted the tribute from a maternal perspective upon watching a video about a wife's grief over her husband's tragic death. She questioned those who directed political anger at her, asking if they felt joy over a life lost and if her silence would have appeased them.

Addressing the harsh comments, Sunye mentioned she responded by deleting and blocking offenders, signaling her intent to maintain a positive online environment.

Sunye married in 2013 and is a mother of three daughters.

Sunye debuted in 2007 with Wonder Girls, quickly becoming a beloved figure as the group's main vocalist and leader. After marrying a Korean-Canadian in 2013, she temporarily stepped away from entertainment activities. She has recently resumed her solo career, appearing on various television programs.
