
Jung Sung-hwa Recounts Terrifying Stage Collapse During 'Hero' Musical Performance
Actor Jung Sung-hwa has shared a harrowing experience of fainting on stage during a performance of the musical 'Hero'.
Appearing on the YouTube channel 'Jjanhan Hyung' in an episode titled 'EP.111 Jung Sung-hwa & Jung Sang-hoon' released on the 22nd, Jung Sung-hwa spoke alongside fellow actor Jung Sang-hoon.
Jung Sung-hwa recalled the intense physical demands of his role in 'Hero', mentioning a drastic 16kg weight loss over two months. He revealed, 'While singing the final song on a scaffold nearly two stories high, I just collapsed.'
He explained the severe effects, stating, 'My blood pressure dropped so low.' Fortunately, he narrowly avoided a serious fall as his hand caught a rope on the set, leaving him dangling. The near-fatal incident left the audience and crew in a state of panic.
Jung Sung-hwa and Jung Sang-hoon are currently co-starring in the musical 'Sister Act' and have also generated buzz with their casting in 'Mrs. Doubtfire'.
