Former baseball player and broadcaster Shim Soo-chang has divorced his wife after seven years of marriage. According to a report by Sports DongA on the 9th, Shim has recently finalized his divorce proceedings.

The couple reportedly decided to separate amicably, with no specific fault attributed to either party. Shim had tied the knot in December 2018 with a non-celebrity jewelry businesswoman.

Shim is scheduled to return to television on the upcoming JTBC baseball entertainment show 'Strongest Baseball,' which premieres on the 22nd. He is notably a founding member and the first player to be released from the show, marking his comeback to broadcasting after three years.

Shim Soo-chang debuted as a pitcher for the Lotte Giants in 2008. Known for his powerful fastball exceeding 150 km/h, he also holds the record for playing for the most teams among right-handed pitchers. After retiring from professional baseball, he transitioned into broadcasting and is actively engaged in various programs.
