KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday miniseries, 'A Good Day to Die,' is set to premiere on the 20th, building anticipation with the release of its intricate character relationships involving Lee Young-ae, Kim Young-kwang, and Park Yong-woo.

Lee Young-ae portrays Kang Eun-soo, a woman whose peaceful family life is shattered by tragedy, pushing her to the brink. She faces mounting pressure from her husband's deteriorating health and financial ruin. Her daughter, Soo-ah (Kim Si-a), contemplates dropping out of school, while her husband, Do-jin (Bae Soo-bin), grows suspicious of how Eun-soo suddenly acquired a large sum of money for treatment, deepening the rifts within the family.

Meanwhile, art instructor Lee Kyung (Kim Young-kwang) becomes entangled in a dangerous partnership with Eun-soo after she accidentally comes into possession of a bag of drugs. Eun-soo's initial resolve to earn just 200 million won begins to waver as her desires grow. Lee Kyung finds himself conflicted by Eun-soo's unexpected talents, which he witnesses as her former parent.

Chasing after them is Detective Jang Tae-gu (Park Yong-woo), head of the Narcotics Unit. Tae-gu relentlessly pursues Eun-soo and Lee Kyung while investigating the truth behind the missing drug bag. The criminal organization 'Phantom' also intensifies its efforts to recover the lost drugs, setting the stage for a thrilling chase involving these three forces. The narrative promises escalating tension as Lee Kyung navigates the suspicions of Tae-gu and the threats from Phantom. As unexpected characters become involved in the crime, hidden secrets will gradually surface. The series raises the question of whether Eun-soo can ultimately face a 'good day' amidst this relentless pursuit.

Lee Young-ae is renowned for her captivating performances in dramas such as 'Dae Jang Geum' and 'Saimdang, Memoir of Colors.' Her elegance and versatile acting have made her a beloved figure in the Korean entertainment industry. This new series marks her highly anticipated return to television after a hiatus, further cementing her status as a top-tier actress.
