K-Sports Stars Take on the Diamond: Channel A's 'Baseball Queen' Set to Premiere in November

Channel A is gearing up to launch an exciting new sports variety show, 'Baseball Queen', scheduled to debut this November. The program will feature a captivating journey as renowned female athletes from various sports disciplines step onto the baseball field, embracing an unfamiliar challenge to form and grow a new baseball team.

Among the announced lineup are former track and field sensation Kim Min-ji, famously dubbed 'Track Karina' for her incredible speed, and ex-rhythmic gymnast Shin Su-ji, a national representative at the Beijing Olympics and Guangzhou Asian Games. Kim Min-ji, known for dominating the 400m hurdles, aims to leverage her speed for exceptional base running, declaring, "I will become the top base runner in baseball." Shin Su-ji plans to bring her inherent flexibility and balance to both offensive and defensive plays, transforming her gymnastics prowess into baseball skills.

Adding star power to the coaching staff, legendary MLB player Choo Shin-soo will lead the team as manager, with golf icon Pak Se-ri serving as general manager. Former baseball players Lee Dae-hyung and Yoon Suk-min will join as coaches, providing robust support for the athletes' new venture. Produced by Shin Jae-ho PD of 'Steel Troops W' and written by Kang Sook-kyung, acclaimed for 'Physical 100', 'Baseball Queen' promises a compelling narrative of sweat, determination, and dramatic growth.

Kim Min-ji is a celebrated track and field athlete, earning the nickname 'Track Karina' for her exceptional speed.
