Internet broadcasting pioneer DADDOO (real name NA Dong-hyun) has passed away at his home, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

According to police and fire authorities on the 6th, a friend reported DADDOO missing after he failed to show up for a scheduled meeting and became unreachable. Responding to the call, officials visited his residence in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, around 8:40 AM where they discovered him deceased.

No suicide note or signs of foul play were found at the scene. DADDOO, who boasted 1.45 million subscribers, began his broadcasting career in 2002 and was instrumental in improving the image of internet broadcasting in Korea. He was primarily known for his gaming content, actively engaging with fans through reaction videos. His career also included roles such as a member of the Korea Communications Commission's Internet Culture Policy Advisory Committee and a win for New Male Entertainer at the Korea Culture Entertainment Awards in 2018. He further expanded his reach by appearing on shows like JTBC's 'The Influencer' and tvN's 'Find Super K'.

DADDOO married fellow YouTuber YUM DENG in 2015, but the couple announced their amicable divorce last year. At the time, DADDOO explained, "We are not parting due to any negative issues. As we lived together, we felt a stronger desire to focus on our work, and realized we might be better suited as friends rather than a married couple. We decided that living more freely and maintaining a friendship would be best."

A veteran of the internet broadcasting scene since 2002, DADDOO (real name NA Dong-hyun) was a prominent figure among Korea's first generation of YouTubers, accumulating approximately 1.45 million subscribers. Beyond his online content creation, he served as a policy advisor for internet culture and was recognized with a newcomer award in entertainment. His diverse career also saw him transition into mainstream television appearances.
