Singer Sean, a member of the iconic K-pop duo JinuSean, appeared on MBC's entertainment show 'Omniscient Interfering View' (often abbreviated as 'Jeon Chamsi') and humbly discussed his decades-long philanthropic endeavors.

When the show's hosts noted his widely reported 6.5 billion KRW in donations, Sean clarified, "That figure represents only the pure donations made by my wife Jung Hye-young and myself." Surprised by the magnitude of his continuous giving, MC Jun Hyun-moo remarked on the substantial increase in his cumulative donations. Sean then revealed even more astounding projects, including his involvement in building a children's hospital worth approximately 44 billion KRW, donating about 23.9 billion KRW, and spearheading a campaign to build homes for descendants of independence patriots.

Reflecting on the origins of his giving, Sean shared, "After getting married, my wife and I saved 10,000 KRW daily and donated 3.65 million KRW on our anniversary. This practice has continued for 20 years, and I never imagined it would accumulate to such a significant amount." Inspired by his commitment, fellow cast member Lee Young-ja vowed to start donating a portion of her daily expenses, while Hong Hyun-hee humorously asked if he would donate his appearance fee from the show. Sean responded with a smile, "Any donation decision is always made after consulting with my wife, Jung Hye-young," highlighting their partnership in philanthropy.

Sean debuted in 1997 as part of the hip-hop duo JinuSean, achieving immense popularity in the Korean music scene.

He married actress Jung Hye-young in 2004, and together they have become role models through their consistent charitable activities since their marriage.

He is particularly known for his leadership in supporting underprivileged communities, including initiatives for building children's hospitals and aiding the descendants of independence patriots.
