Korean-Japanese singer Ayumi, singer Son Dam-bi, and comedian Lee Eun-hyung appeared on MBN's 'Gaboga GO' Season 5, sharing candid experiences as mothers who gave birth later in life.

During the episode, the trio joined MC Ahn Jung-hwan and special MC Jason to discuss marriage, childbirth, and parenting. Jason expressed admiration for the mothers' post-birth appearance, and their witty remarks filled the studio with laughter.

Ayumi revealed her home, sharing her regret over not being able to fully remodel it due to her child. When asked if they ever found their husbands bothersome after childbirth, all three responded affirmatively, surprising Ahn Jung-hwan. Jason spoke of the emotional difficulty seeing his wife go into labor, and Son Dam-bi shared that her husband worried more seeing her overly cheerful demeanor. Ayumi and Lee Eun-hyung also reflected on the anxieties they felt during the delivery process.

The conversation shifted to pregnancy journeys. Lee Eun-hyung recounted conceiving after turning forty, while Ayumi shared her experience of freezing her eggs and later conceiving naturally. Son Dam-bi spoke about undergoing IVF treatment due to her husband's good health and her own low fertility indicators, successfully conceiving on the second attempt despite the emotionally and physically taxing process. She also detailed her struggle with placenta previa and delivering her baby at 38 weeks.

The discussion then turned to husbands' support during pregnancy and postpartum. Jason, Lee Eun-hyung's husband, and Son Dam-bi's husband all showed immense dedication, cooking meals and preparing health drinks for their wives. While the wives expressed gratitude for their partners' efforts, Ayumi voiced her frustration with her husband's lack of immediate response when the baby cries and his tendency to coax the baby by asking if they want to go to 'mom.' Lee Eun-hyung echoed this sentiment, humorously describing her own 'gaslighting' tactics.

Son Dam-bi impressed everyone by revealing her postpartum weight loss journey, shedding from 67kg to 48kg in just three months. She attributed her rapid recovery to consistent exercise, including diastasis recti recovery movements, and diligent care at a postpartum center, emphasizing the importance of post-birth physical rehabilitation.

Finally, the three mothers expressed their deep gratitude towards their own mothers. Lee Eun-hyung and Ayumi reflected on the immense challenges their mothers faced raising children with fewer resources, expressing profound respect. Son Dam-bi shared a touching story of apologizing to her mother after becoming a mother herself, realizing the hurt she may have caused. Ayumi also reminisced about her past struggles with strict dieting during her girl group days.

'Gaboga GO' Season 5 airs every Saturday at 8:20 PM KST on MBN.
