Kang Daniel's US Concert Canceled Abruptly After Audience Seated; Agency Cites 'Local System Deficiencies'
A concert by South Korean artist Kang Daniel in New Jersey was abruptly canceled even after the audience had already been admitted.
Kang Daniel's agency, KONNECT Entertainment, issued an apology on September 7th (local time) stating, "We sincerely bow our heads and apologize for delivering such sudden news to the fans who have been eagerly awaiting today's performance."
The agency explained that the 'ACT : SWEET KISS' concert in Jersey City, NJ, scheduled for September 6, 2025, could not proceed as planned. Despite the best efforts of the artist and the entire production team, unforeseen operational issues and a lack of readiness in the local system made it impossible to provide a safe and high-quality performance.
"We discussed with the local party until the last moment, but we inevitably decided to cancel the performance as pushing forward in an incomplete environment could be an even greater disrespect to our fans," the statement continued. Ticket refunds will be processed automatically without any necessary requests, and fans are advised to check their emails from the ticketing platform for detailed information.
The sudden cancellation after fans were already seated caused confusion and disappointment among attendees. The agency's vague explanation of "operational issues" has only amplified curiosity and concern among the fanbase.
Previously, Kang Daniel embarked on an extensive US tour covering 12 major cities, including Washington and New York, with subsequent stops planned in South America, such as Argentina and Brazil.
Kang Daniel debuted as a member of the group Wanna One in 2017 before launching his solo career in 2019. He is widely acclaimed for his powerful performances and unique vocal color. His current world tour is under the banner 'ACT : SWEET KISS'.
