CORTIS Kicks Off "FaSHioN" Promotions Following Debut Album Release

Big Hit Music's new boy group CORTIS is diving into promotions for their follow-up track immediately after releasing their debut album.

On the 8th at 6 PM, CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhoon, Sunghyun, and Geonho, unveiled the full tracklist of their debut album ‘COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES’ along with the music video for the B-side track ‘FaSHioN’. Following their successful promotions for the title track ‘What You Want’ which dropped on the 18th of last month, the group is set to hit the music show stages with ‘FaSHioN’.

The music video for ‘FaSHioN’, hosted on HYBE Labels' YouTube channel, boasts breathtaking visuals filmed against the backdrop of snowy mountains, lakes, and a junkyard in New Zealand. The members' vibrant performances create a unique atmosphere, contrasting with the majestic natural scenery. The synchronized choreography performed in front of the Tasman Glacier is particularly spectacular. Combined with elements like a car shattering into pieces, high-quality special effects, and dynamic scene transitions, the video leaves a powerful impression.

This music video draws inspiration from a self-produced video the five members created during their trainee days. Directed by Bang Jae-yeop, known for his work with numerous hip-hop artists and prestigious brand films, the video brings the teenage members' fresh ideas to life on a grand scale with diverse special effects, resulting in a stylish and polished final product.

A conceptual performance film focusing on the choreography of ‘FaSHioN’ is scheduled for release on the 9th. The members themselves participated in crafting this choreography, promising a showcase of their overflowing talent, wild energy, and genuine enjoyment of performing.

‘FaSHioN’ is a track blending Trap sounds with Southern Hip Hop, honestly expressing their lifestyle through lyrics about 'fashion,' such as lines like “Meet in Dongmyo, like a seminar / Meet in Hongdae, we set it off.” Martin, Juhoon, Sunghyun, and Geonho are credited for their contributions, and all members participated in the choreography, demonstrating their capabilities as a ‘Young Creator Crew’ that co-creates key team content.

Meanwhile, CORTIS will premiere the ‘FaSHioN’ performance at the ‘CORTIS The 1st EP [COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES] RELEASE PARTY’ held at the Hwajeong Gymnasium, Korea University, on the 8th at 8 PM. The event will also be simultaneously streamed online via the global superfan platform Weverse for fans unable to attend in person.

CORTIS is a five-member boy group under Big Hit Music.
