MAMAMOO's Solar Set for Big Screen Debut in Thriller 'The Cursed'

K-pop powerhouse MAMAMOO's member Solar is gearing up for her highly anticipated film debut in the supernatural thriller 'The Cursed' (Korean title: Gwisi), slated for release nationwide in South Korea on September 17th.

In the film, Solar embodies Mi-yeon, an ambitious aspiring novelist who ventures to a remote village in pursuit of her writing dreams. Her journey takes an eerie turn when she encounters an ancient tree revered as the village's guardian, drawing her into unsettling supernatural occurrences.

This marks Solar's first foray into screen acting, following her successful stage performances in musicals like 'Mata Hari' and 'Notre Dame de Paris.' Fans are eager to see her showcase a different facet of her artistry. Beyond her acting venture, Solar is also preparing for her third solo concert, 'Solaris,' from October 11th to 12th at Yonsei University Centennial Hall.
