K-pop group TWS is making waves in Japan, achieving a significant milestone with their debut single.

The Japanese arm of the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) has awarded TWS's Japanese debut single, ‘Nice to see you again’ (original title: はじめまして), with a Platinum certification for surpassing 250,000 cumulative units sold as of August. This marks the first Platinum certification for TWS, following Gold certifications for their previous releases, including the single album ‘Last Bell’ and their third mini-album ‘TRY WITH US’.

Since their official debut in Japan in July, TWS has captured the attention of local fans, topping major charts like Oricon and Billboard Japan in their debut week. Their popularity is further evidenced by the overwhelming success of their first Japanese tour, ‘2025 TWS TOUR ‘24/7:WITH:US’ IN JAPAN,’ which drew approximately 50,000 fans and sold out tickets in most cities, showcasing remarkable ticket power for a new group.

TWS is set to perform at the renowned 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025' on August 15th, further expanding their presence in the Japanese music scene. With a new album slated for release in October, anticipation is high for what TWS will offer next to captivate both domestic and international fans.

TWS, a six-member boy group under Pledis Entertainment, debuted on January 22, 2024.

Their group name, TWS, is an acronym for 'Twenty Four Seven With Us,' signifying their constant presence with fans.

The group consists of members Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Han Jin, Ji Hoon, and Kyeong Min, known for their refreshing and hopeful music.
