Actor Lee Pil-mo shared a poignant story on '4-Person Table,' a Channel A program, revealing that he has been unable to inform his father of his mother's passing, which occurred two years ago, leaving viewers deeply moved.

The episode, aired on the 15th, featured Lee Pil-mo and his wife Seo Soo-yeon hosting close friends and university peers Park Kyung-lim, Lee Jong-hyuk, and Kim Min-kyo at their home.

During their reunion, Lee Pil-mo and his friends reminisced about their college days at Seoul Institute of the Arts. They recalled the initial culture shock Lee Pil-mo experienced upon entering university amidst his creatively diverse classmates and shared humorous anecdotes about promoting their plays through street performances due to financial constraints.

Kim Min-kyo recounted his recovery period after a cruciate ligament tear during a performance, which sidelined him for 18 months. He credited his rise to fame to his 'GTA acting' videos, created while passing time playing video games. Lee Pil-mo also shared his decade-long struggle as an unrecognized actor, detailing various part-time jobs and a particularly bizarre incident during his appearance in 'War of the Roses,' resonating with the audience's experiences.

Lee Pil-mo spoke emotionally about his mother's lifelong sacrifices and frugality in raising him and his siblings, contrasting it with his father's passive lifestyle. He then revealed how his mother's wise investments, funded by his earnings, led to their family acquiring multiple properties, earning admiration from his friends.

Despite the two years that have passed since his mother's death, Lee Pil-mo confessed his struggle to tell his father, expressing concern that his father may not even be aware of the loss. He voiced his deep worries about how his father would cope with the grief, or if he might have already forgotten.

Lee Jong-hyuk and Kim Min-kyo offered gentle words of comfort, acknowledging Lee Pil-mo's difficult situation. Park Kyung-lim suggested that perhaps not knowing the full truth might be kinder, preserving a sense of hope for his father.

Lee Pil-mo married Seo Soo-yeon in 2019, whom he met on the TV Chosun show 'Taste of Love,' and they have a son together. Beyond his acting career, he currently serves as a full-time professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Visual Contents at Daejeon University, nurturing future talents. His devoted family life and passion for acting continue to inspire many fans.
