In a dramatic twist on the latest episode of the Genie TV original drama ‘Dear Jinny’ (9th episode), Uhm Jung-hwa’s character Bong Cheong-ah realizes that Song Seung-heon’s character, Dok-go Cheol, is the detective who comforted her in the past, known only by the number '0728'.

Bong Cheong-ah made a spectacular comeback, and with the appearance of Won Ban (Ji Jin-hee), a love triangle began to heat up. The episode culminated in Bong Cheong-ah's realization of Dok-go Cheol's past identity as the '0728' detective, sending viewers' heart rates soaring.

The episode garnered significant viewer response, with ratings reaching 3.9% nationwide and 3.3% in the Seoul metropolitan area, continuing its popularity. As Bong Cheong-ah’s comeback garnered attention, Go Hee-young (Lee El) became increasingly hysteric, even causing her stylist Sa Seon-young (Jo Yeon-hee) to be fired after losing a clothing sponsorship. Enraged, Sa Seon-young confronted Go Hee-young, mentioning evidence from the day of Bong Cheong-ah’s car accident, leaving Go Hee-young visibly shaken.

Bong Cheong-ah’s true talent shone on set. As she continued to impress the director with her efforts, Dok-go Cheol joined her, acting as her scene partner and running lines. Despite her slightly clumsy acting, Bong Cheong-ah felt an inexplicable flutter of excitement, indicating a shift in her emotions.

A turning point arrived for Bong Cheong-ah and Dok-go Cheol, who hadn't yet acknowledged their growing feelings. An incident sparked mutual jealousy when Dok-go Cheol saw Bong Cheong-ah meeting Won Ban late at night, leaving him unsettled. Go Hee-young approached him as he walked away sadly. Their subsequent drinking session, intended to probe Go Hee-young for the truth, took an unexpected turn when Dok-go Cheol ended up in a 'super close' pose with a drunken Go Hee-young while supporting her, right in front of Bong Cheong-ah. This misunderstanding fueled their jealousy, marking the beginning of a romance only they were unaware of.

However, Bong Cheong-ah's triumphant comeback faced another crisis. Dok-go Cheol’s premonition that someone would try to harm Bong Cheong-ah proved true when Kwak Jeong-do (Park Jung-geun) fell into a trap. Dok-go Cheol engaged in a fierce struggle with Kwak Jeong-do, who had hidden in Bong Cheong-ah’s dorm, and managed to apprehend him.

In the aftermath of the late-night commotion, Bong Cheong-ah, concerned about Dok-go Cheol, visited his home. There, she stumbled upon a secret: his door’s passcode was the familiar '0728'. In that moment, the rookie detective who had comforted her in the past overlapped with the Dok-go Cheol before her, bringing a flood of memories. Realizing Dok-go Cheol’s genuine concern – 'I’m glad you’re safe' – Bong Cheong-ah was overwhelmed with emotion. The episode concluded with a surprising embrace between the two, intensifying viewers' anticipation for the next installment.

Meanwhile, Kang Dae-gu (Heo Jae-ho) and Dok-go Cheol uncovered evidence linking Guk Hee (Jung Hae-gyun) to entertainment agencies, heightening the suspense of the unfolding mystery.
