MCT Festival Lights Up Magok Plaza with Star-Studded Volunteer Teams

The first-ever MCT Festival successfully concluded its three-day run from September 12th to 14th in the Magok Plaza area of Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the 'Okay Joa' Celebrity Volunteer Group and Angel Stars, drawing significant attention from attendees.

Led by group leader Shin Chang-seok, dozens of celebrities including Choi Jae-seong, Lee Jong-won, Lee Jeong-yong, Bae Do-hwan, Lee Woo-seok, Kim Ye-ryeong, Han Ga-bin, Leo, Hwang Eun-jeong, Kang Tae-poong, Romina, Hyun Young, and Bae Ki-seong engaged with citizens through performances, experience zones, and donation programs.

The main stage featured performances hosted by Bae Do-hwan, Lee Jeong-yong, and Hwang Eun-jeong, showcasing magic shows, face-changing acts, children's dance troupes, and international trot singers like Leo and Romina.

Crowds cheered for performances by talented trot artists, including Han Ga-bin, dubbed the 'Beyoncé of Trot,' along with Seong Yu-bin, Park Seo-yeon, and Kang Tae-poong.

Comedian Lee Young-sik entertained the audience with his witty hosting during prize events, while the 'Okay Joa' volunteers operated a 'Love Jjajangmyeon Car' and a 'Donation Sharing Market,' adding a meaningful layer of giving to the festival.

Bae Ki-seong and Hyun Young of the Angel Stars celebrity volunteer group hosted a charity auction of personally donated items from their fellow stars, creating an intimate and meaningful interaction with the public.

Built upon the innovative infrastructure of Magok's 'R&D Valley' and in collaboration with cultural institutions like the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and EBS, the festival also included an international conference, a beer festival, and special screenings from the EBS International Documentary Festival, offering a wide range of entertainment for families.

A representative from the organizing committee stated, 'The first MCT Festival has established itself as a convergence festival blending culture, technology, and sharing,' and expressed their commitment to developing it into a representative festival for the citizens in the future.

Shin Chang-seok spearheaded the successful organization of this inaugural festival. Choi Jae-seong and Lee Jong-won are veteran actors with extensive careers in various productions. Lee Jeong-yong and Bae Do-hwan are known for their lively energy and humorous hosting.
