Actress Ahn Ji-hye is set to captivate audiences with her sharp action and profound acting skills in Disney+'s original historical drama, 'Takkuryu'.

'Takkuryu' is an action drama set around Gyeonggang, a hub for wealth and resources in Joseon. It tells the story of individuals who pursued their dreams of a better life and fought against a corrupt world. The series is highly anticipated, helmed by director Chu Chang-min, who previously garnered millions of viewers with 'Masquerade' in 2012, and written by Cheon Seong-il, marking his return to historical dramas after 14 years since 'The Slave Hunters'.

Ahn Ji-hye takes on the role of 'Yeo-ju', a loyal subordinate who deeply respects Wang Hae (played by Kim Dong-won) as a benefactor in a harsh world. She follows him without hesitation, willing to do anything for his sake.

Previously, Ahn Ji-hye demonstrated her prowess in high-difficulty action sequences as Sergeant Lee Eun-ho in the Air Force special forces in the Netflix film 'Badland Hunters'. She also showcased raw, vivid action as 'Malsuk' in the KBS2 drama 'Twelve', establishing herself as 'South Korea's NO.1 Action Actress'.

In 'Takkuryu', she is expected to deliver an even more profound performance, combining her signature agile action with a delicate portrayal of the character's emotional journey. 'Takkuryu' will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on September 26th, with the first three episodes, followed by two new episodes weekly for a total of nine episodes.

Ahn Ji-hye is gaining recognition for her robust action acting capabilities. Her performances in the Netflix film 'Badland Hunters' received significant praise. It is anticipated that she will reveal new charms in the historical drama genre through 'Takkuryu'.
