Kim Sung-ryung Channels 8 Iconic Characters in Stunning 'Singles' Photoshoot

Veteran actress Kim Sung-ryung has demonstrated her mastery as a 'chameleon of transformation' through a captivating photoshoot and insightful interview featured in the October issue of 'Singles' magazine.

The pictorial showcases Kim Sung-ryung embodying eight distinct personas. These include her memorable roles like Han Ki-ae from the drama 'The Heirs' and Oh Yeon-ok from the film 'Believer,' alongside characters she admires, such as Tilda Swinton's character in 'Suspiria' and Tokyo from 'Money Heist.'

Reflecting on her craft, Kim Sung-ryung stated, "Anyone can come up with ideas, but actually bringing them to life is never easy." This highlights her persistent drive to push her boundaries as an actress.

She expressed particular affection for her role as Oh Yeon-ok in 'Believer,' commenting, "It was a character that received much more love than I expected." Regarding Han Ki-ae from 'The Heirs,' she shared, "We had many similarities. Her humor and her love for her children resembled mine."

Kim Sung-ryung also conveyed her genuine feelings about returning to the stage after six years with the play 'Rosetta.' She explained, "Theater fills the gaps that dramas and films cannot," adding, "I enjoy the journey of analyzing the work and discovering new things through the rehearsal process."
